Who We Are

Specialists in water infrastructure delivery.

Aquaways is a specialist Water, Stormwater and Wastewater (W3) infrastructure delivery company supporting projects from early planning and design through to construction, commissioning and ongoing operations.

We work across treatment facilities, reservoirs, pump stations, pipelines, drainage systems and network renewals, combining engineering expertise with practical delivery experience to achieve successful project outcomes.

From early contractor involvement and EPC delivery through to commissioning and asset support, we help clients deliver safe, reliable and sustainable infrastructure for the communities they serve.

2023

Aquaways Established

Aquaways was established to provide specialist engineering, construction and infrastructure delivery services focused on New Zealand's three waters sector.

Jwan Dirki

Technical Director

Jwan Dirki

Jwan is a water and wastewater infrastructure specialist with more than 20 years of international experience delivering treatment plants, desalination systems, pumping infrastructure and network assets. His expertise spans design support, installation, commissioning, operations and maintenance across municipal, industrial and private sector projects. Jwan has successfully delivered and managed treatment facilities ranging from small package plants through to large-scale wastewater treatment systems, bringing extensive technical knowledge and operational insight to complex infrastructure projects.

Neil Wood

Projects Director

Neil Wood

Neil is a senior infrastructure leader with over 25 years of experience delivering three waters, environmental projects and major civil works throughout New Zealand and Australia. His expertise spans project and construction management, infrastructure renewals, stakeholder engagement and strategic delivery of complex water and wastewater programmes. Neil has successfully led multidisciplinary teams across council, utility and government projects, providing deep technical and commercial insight throughout the project.

Hakam Dirki

Delivery Manager

Hakam Dirki

Hakam brings extensive experience in water and wastewater construction, project management and infrastructure delivery across New Zealand. His background spans major infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on planning, project engineering, constructability, quality assurance and contract administration.

Heath Stanshall

Heath is an experienced construction leader with more than two decades of experience delivering civil and water infrastructure projects throughout New Zealand. His background spans water treatment plants and major three water upgrades, with expertise in programme delivery, site leadership, subcontractor management and health and safety. Heath brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to project delivery and has successfully led teams across some of New Zealand’s most complex construction environments.
